Dr. Jim Sear From "The Doctors" TV show

Hello Everyone!

Well last Monday night, August 9th, 2010, Dr. Jim Sears from "The Doctors" TV show gave an informative health lecture.

The few points that he made included:

1. Shaping tastes for kids - We all have a reaction to food, but more so when we are growing up. He says that the chemicals in foods are to blame. So, to help shape tastes for kids, expose them to health and nutritious choices.

2. Sugar is not all equal - Processes sugar can turn off your hormones that signal when you are full. Natural sugars do not. The other thing about processed sugar is that they cause inflammation and can be stored as fat because your body is not sure what to do with it.

3. Set up rules about foods - This will save time and energy when it is time to eat with the kids.

Overall, the information was great. I encourage you to attend future events to learn from experts in the medical industry.

Thank you.

Have a productive and healthy day.
